About Green Paws Greenhouse and Urban Garden
Beth Ann Bitner, M.S. MAVIM ~ Owner
I am the Sole Proprietor and Minnesota Licensed Cottage Producer of Green Paws Greenhouse and Urban Garden who specializes in not only a quarter acre garden, but manages two indoor greenhouses, while producing canned goodies, and old-fashioned gluten and dairy free holiday candy. I proudly served in the Iowa Army National Guard as a Combat Support MP (Military Police), with one tour in Iraq in 2003 and an honorable medical discharge in 2007. Originally from Central Illinois, I moved to Glencoe, Minnesota from SE Iowa in May 2024. I have a longtime passion for gardening, canning, and making old-fashioned holiday candies. I hold a master’s degree in Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine hoping to eventually build a section of my garden and greenhouse into an herb garden for health and wellness. On my free time, I enjoy being outdoors whether it’s hiking, skiing, running, fishing, etc., volunteering or staying inside painting, reading, facetiming with family, or snuggling with my cat, Smokey. Thank you for supporting a Female Veteran Owned and Operated Small Business!
Smokey ~ Chief Feline Officer (CFO)
I was found under a house in Iowa in May of 2022 at six months old, and I immediately wrapped my floofy tail around the owner’s pinky. Afterall, she left me food and water. Mama Hooman Slave believes that I have Maine Coon in me, but I am primarily a Tabby who rules the house. As Chief Feline Officer, my work duties include judging Mama out in the garden though one of many windows or while she is taking a rest break, aiding in supervising the greenhouses, accounting (sitting on the laptop and receipts) or watching CatTv while Mama has me locked out of the kitchen while she cooks.
Recycle Program
If you bring back your jar and lid, I will offer $1 off, per jar, on your next purchase. Green Paws Greenhouse loves to recycle and keep costs down. If you have empty jars sitting in your cabinet, please consider giving Green Paws a call. I am happy to accept them and offer you an incentive for your generosity (free products or discounts off a bulk order).
Green Paws Gives Back
Green Paws loves to support the local community (business and individuals), and organizations.
At the Farmer’s Market in Glencoe, I have a money jar where customer’s can leave their donations. Green Paws loves to collect money and non-perishable food items to hand over to the McLeod Food Shelf, Glencoe location. You may also arrange to drop off money or food at my house. If you need a receipt, please ask!
If you have a special organization or fundraiser you would like me to collect money for, please ask!
